Introduction	The New Yorker Fiction Club is an open forum for discussing the weekly short fiction published in The New Yorker and on the magazine's online site. The Club is open to anybody. No subscription is necessary, as we will link weekly to the online copy of the story, provided free by the magazine's website. The Club is a ten-week experiment. Every Monday an excerpt and a link to the story will appear, and commenting is then open. We'll continue through the end of January 2007, and figure out what we want to do from there. This is all about enjoying the fiction, so have at it.
