Introduction	In 2001, I witnessed first hand massive clear cutting in Panama coupled with large advertisements for pesticides. It was only after reading Ronald Wright's A Short History of Progress during the summer of 2005 that the penny finally dropped. I decided to actively do something in my own little way to help protect the environment.
