| Introduction | After 32 years of marriage, we're hitting the road – in a camper van – with Jacob, the dog. For the past four decades, Joe has founded and directed statewide grassroots organizing in Kentucky and Virginia. Kristin has been a reporter, editor, political campaign coordinator, candidate, and for the past eight years, City Councilor and Vice Mayor in Charlottesville, Virginia. We have lived in Banner, Kentucky, Nagykovacsi, Hungary, Lyon, France, and Charlottesville, and raised two daughters and four foster children to adulthood. Now it's our turn to see the world on our own - on the road again. |
