Introduction	Elvis Alves was born in Guyana, South America, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of Colgate University and Princeton Theological Seminary. His poetry has appeared in Caribbean Writer Journal, St. Somewhere, Small Axe Salon, Colere, Garbanzo Literary Journal, New Vilna Review, and several other journals and anthologies. Elvis lives and works in New York City.
