| Introduction | The Fan Awakens: a countdown of 100 Star Wars memories. A Long Time Ago... I became a Star Wars fan and collector. My love for all things Star Wars dates back to a vivid memory of my father taking me and my older brother to see the original Star Wars movie at the Regent Theatre in Great Yarmouth (my home town). As the movie came out months later in the UK than the US, I can only guess this was early January 1978. I was 7 years-old at the time. Needless to say, it made an impact on me, one that would stay with me ever since. As the excitement builds for the release of the seventh episode in the Star Wars saga, The Force Awakens, I will start my own 100-day countdown to December 18, 2015. Sharing images from my collection and my favorite memories of my 35+ years of being a fan and collector of all things Star Wars. The excitement of the new movie coming out has definitely awakened all of those memories for me. I hope you enjoy them. |
