Introduction | I'm a longtime arts and entertainment journalist, regularly contributing to the St. Petersburg Times, Billboard, Down Beat, Miami New Times, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Jazziz, Las Vegas City Life, Bass Player and other daily newspapers, magazines and Web concerns. I recently received an M.A. in English/creative writing from the University of South Florida. My thesis, a collection of short stories, is titled "Cracker Etiquette: Stories From Somebody's South." When I'm not writing non-fiction or fiction, I play bass for Trio Vibe, Greenwich Blue, Acme Jazz Garage and other jazz and jam bands, and spend time with my wife and two young children. |
