| Introduction | Born in New York. M.A. in English: Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and B.A. English from The City College of New York. Published in Downbeat Magazine, Ear Magazine, JVC Jazz Festival, San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner, Albuquerque Journal, University of Georgia Press, San Francisco Bay Guardian, East Bay Express, Albuquerque Arts and other music and literary publications. The Country They Know (Neuma Books 2005) is my first collection of poetry. I have taught English and Ethnic Studies at California College of Arts, University of California, Berkeley, University of New Mexico, San Francisco Art Institute and California State University, Hayward. I'm currently working on a book-length volume of creative nonfiction essays and a second collection of poems. |
