When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

I have a fear or waves. so, if I'm under water and I open my eyes, if i can see the sand stirring ahead of me (meaning there is a wave) yes, I am scarred that I will drown. any other time though, I wouldn't worry that I might drown.
