Introduction | I am an Estate Planning and Business Lawyer. I have practiced in mid-Michigan since 1984 and am currently a partner in the Smith Bovill, P.C. law firm, practicing in our Saginaw and Frankenmuth Offices. I am an active member of the Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council (where I served as its president in 1996-97). I was a founding member and charter President of the Mid-Michigan Planned Giving Council (now merged into the Estate Planning Council) in 1995-96. I currently serve as a director on the St. Mary's of Michigan Foundation, the Saginaw Valley State University Foundation. I am also an instructor in SVSU's Certified Financial Planner Education Program, and have served as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the University for several years. I graduated from Hillsdale College in 1981 and from Catholic University Law School, in Washington, D.C. in 1984. I earned a Masters in Taxation from Walsh College in Troy in 1990. I am a frequent speaker and presenter on Estate Planning and Business Succession topics. |
