I've noticed, seen and heard from other Brooklynites that have moved to other cities and states they still consider themselves BROOKLYN. Their favorite saying is you can take the person out of Brooklyn but you can't take THE BROOKLYN out of the person. It seems that no matter where a Brooklynite is transplanted they become of celebrity status as the person from Brooklyn and they succeed and florish in their new environment while never forgetting their roots.
