| Introduction | My name is Sommer Proden. I live in Valdez, AK, with my family. I have a 15-year-old daughter whom I have homeschooled her entire life. She is my out-of-the-box thinker and artist. My son decided to try public school last year and loves it. He is my social butterfly and quite a negotiator. I grew up in Salem, Oregon, and I wanted to travel. I got a seasonal job at a ski resort in Montana, where I met my husband. From there, we embarked on the adventure of our lives, moving to Fairbanks, getting married on a tropical island surrounded by hundreds of sea turtles, and enjoying our children and lives. We recently moved to Valdez and have fallen in love with the community here. |
