Introduction	My adventures in a 1971 VW bus and 2005 VW Touareg with 2 Honda ATVs. I welcome comments on my blog so feel free to comment. I obtained my bus in 1999 for $50 (yes $50). It actually ran, not good, but it ran. I drove it home about 25 miles with my brother following me. I had another bus already, it was a 70 station wagon. The motor on the 70 was seized and I sold it for $500. I took off any good parts from the 70 before selling it. One of the items I took off was a half bus roof rack. The 71 bus was a complete bus. It had been hit from behind but only the engine compartment lid. I have since replaced it. I have done a long list of fixes and modifications to the bus since I have had it.
