| Introduction | Since I was a little girl, I enjoyed drawing and designing little fanciful outfits and accessories for my dollies. As long as I can remember I was rummaging thru old trunks and visiting auctions and antique stores with my parents, growing to love and appreciate beautiful fabrics, vintage laces. unique embellishments. Later, I owned a gourmet chocolate basket shop in Chicago called Yummy Gram and was in the Nieman Marcus Xmas catalog. After attending the Academy of Merchandising and Design in Chicago, Illinois, I designed luxurious Kentucky Derby Hats for Churchill Downs. My next venture began on our 250 acre family farm in Minnesota where we raised corriedale sheep. In my quiet log cabin studio in the woods, I made one of a kind handbags using much of the wool from my sheep and embellished them with beads, silks, laces and large handmade flowers. Recently we moved to South Florida. I was so excited to receive a Wacom drawing tablet for my last birthday. How addicting and the most favorite part of my life began, my two new little baby bonbons grandsons, Noah and Zachary arrived, inspiring my whimsical Babybonbons fabrics designs. |
