| Introduction | Well. I grew up in Kansas City, Mo when baseball was exciting between the Royals and the Yankees just about every October. Back in the days of George Brett and Reggie Jackson, you didn't hear much about steroids or being unhappy with a multi-million dollar contract, or who was dating a mega model or movie star. They were ballplayers, the real kind. It was then that I was certain that I would marry George Brett, despite our slight fifteen year age difference. I loved baseball, especially the Royals. I hated the Yankees. I will always hate the Yankees. But don't think for a minute that I don't struggle with admiring them. It is that struggle; the love hate line in romance and baseball that made me become a writer. My heroes are flawed. They are vain. They are cocky, bordering on arrogant. They are sexy alpha males who never see what's coming for them until it's too late. Enjoy reading! |
