| Introduction | Jeff Zinn has been WHAT’s Artistic Director since 1987. Among the many plays he has directed here are The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl; A Lie of the Mind and Buried Child by Sam Shepard; Goose & TomTom and The Dog Problem by David Rabe; The Mystery of Irma Vep and The Artificial Jungle by Charles Ludlam; 7 Blowjobs by Mac Wellman; Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett; The Beauty Queen of Leenane (starring Julie Harris) and The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh; Proof by David Auburn, On An Average Day by John Kolvenbach and Shining City by Conor McPherson. He has guest directed at the Nora Theatre Company and the New Repertory Theatre, and taught courses in acting, dramaturgy and theater literature at Clark College and Wheaton College. He currently holds the post of Visiting Academic Professional of Drama/Theatre and Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Humanities and Arts at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He lives in Orleans with his wife, Crystal, and their children, Georgia and Noah. |
