Introduction My Teaching Philosophy In general, the aim of my written work is to diminish polarization, to be accessible, to empower through hope. I feel I help create hope by demystifying topics, especially the creative process. I do not believe people are either born creative or not creative. I believe all people have this potential, and my written work and teaching methods often address this. As a teacher, I want to create a nonjudgmental but stimulating atmosphere for student growth. I strive to provide a flexible enough structure so that those who need structure feel supported while those who need to stretch their wings do not feel confined. I think of myself as a resource for information based on my own education and experience in the areas of publishing, writing process, writing mechanics, creativity, writing as a personal growth tool, selling/marketing writing, and the genres within which I have published extensively, including travel, personal experience, children’s materials, parenting, humor, science fiction, and self-help.

Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?

It's really good. I use it in my morning smoothies and it sweetens them nicely.
