| Introduction | In March 2011, Eric & I learned we were expecting our first child..we never dreamed anything would be wrong with our baby. At 18 weeks pregnant, we found out our little boy would be born with a serious birth defect known as a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, or CDH. After researching CDH, we decided not to dwell on the horrifying possibilities this devastating diagnosis can bring--instead, we put our hope & trust in God and prayed that He would make our baby boy strong. Clayton Cash came into this crazy world on October 24th, 2011. Since birth, Clay has proven his strength & has amazed the doctors with his progress. I’ve decided to start a blog about Clay's journey with CDH as a way to keep family & friends updated on our progress. Also, I hope our blog can help other families who may have to deal with this same diagnosis. Clay is such a blessing to us and we are so thankful for all those who have embraced our family & have helped us through the first part of this battle. We send our love to all who reads! |
