| Introduction | I was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida which means that I am paralyzed from the waist down. However, my disability does not soley define who I am as a person. I live with my "adopted" family but still maintain contact with my biological family. The doctors told my parents that I would not live past the age of 12. I am 44 years old now. Can You Tell I don't listen Very Well, LOL! In My Biological Family I have 2 younger sister's; Kory and Ginneen, 2 older brothers, Scott and Mark, one younger brother, James and a younger sister, Dawn, whom I have never met but would like to very much. In My Adopted Family: I have an older brother, Bill and an older sister, Linda and a brother-in-law, Bob. I have many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. I am a 3rd year Member of Self Advocacy Association of WNY/AmeriCorps and I am Very Proud Of That. I work with a great group of people! I Try Not To Take Myself Too Seriously. I Try To Treat Others The Way I Would Like To Be Treated! I Try To Never Take any one or anything For granted because you never know what will happen tomorrow! |
