| Introduction | My name is Holly. I am a mom to 2 adult children. I was born and raised in Texas, but have been lucky enough to live in AL, MI, PA, and ID. I am a special education advocate and owner of A+ Collaborations. This past winter, I packed up our belongings and moved from Idaho to Alabama with my adult son who has special needs. I am now a full time caregiver just trying to get through each day counting my blessings, learning to rely on myself, and handling the obstacles that come my way. My adult daughter lives and works in the Seattle area. My son, Jake, has both Down syndrome and autism and he pretty much takes up most of my time. I love helping other families who have kids special needs. I started A+ Collaborations, as a way to be more targeted in how I can help parents address their concerns. Although I am currently taking a step back, my hope is to get back to advocacy as I settle more into my new life. |
