About me

GenderFemale
LocationUnited Kingdom
IntroductionI started my career as an archaeologist but quickly got tired of being dirty so went to work in Tudor costume at Hampton Court Palace for four years. I have been and continue to be a heritage educator at historic houses and museums, both in and out of costume, and writing for teachers and pupils. I set up an education programme at Down House, Darwin's home in Kent, and have been getting into science education since then. I am now studying for a biology degree with the Open University. It has taken me two years on this blog to work out that I should really be pitching to various publications for writing projects. They're not going to come to me!

Compose the lyrics to a new national anthem that features an animal sound at least once:

Old McCameron had a country, E-I-E-I-O And in that country there were lots of cows, E-I-E-I-O With a moo, moo here And a moo-moo there Here a moo, there a moo Everywhere a moo-moo Until the badgers gave them all TB Allegedly
