| Introduction | David MacDonald is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments on Aquidneck Island. Prior to joining Edward Jones he served as an Officer in the United States Navy for 20 years onboard cruisers, destroyers, and aircraft carriers. While ashore he was a lead instructor in Undersea Warfare, Leadership, Engineering, Safety and Risk Management at the Surface Warfare Officer School in Newport. Dave first came to Newport in 1985 to attend the Naval Academy Prep School. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in engineering in 1990. Dave completed his Masters degree in Financial Management at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California concentrating on military, government, and private sector retirement and compensation programs. He also has completed the Certified Financial Planning Certificate Program at Bryant University. Dave currently serves as the president of the Aquidneck Island Chapter of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees and is a member of the Middletown Rotary club. |
