| Introduction | I was born and raised in Salinas, California. Surrounded by three generations of law enforcement. My Grandfather was a Monterey County Judge and Supervisor. My father a former motorcycle patrolman for the Salinas Police Department and founder of Achates Security Agency in 1958. My uncle retired as a Lieutenant from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department. First and second cousins served as prison guards at Pelican Bay, High Desert, and San Quentin State Prisons. I spent weekend nights on patrol as a young boy, either with the private security officers who worked for the family business or Salinas Police officers who were friends or relatives. |
