Introduction	We are Friends of the Brown Library, supporters of the George H. and Laura G. Brown Public Library in Washington, NC. We provide volunteers, advocacy, and supplemental funds for projects, furnishings and materials that are beyond the library’s budget. We are a 501 (C) (3) tax exempt organization. Our main fundraiser is an entirely volunteer-run used book sale hosted every January and offering almost 20,000 books for sale in the Washington Civic Center. Washington. The Friends of Brown Library also raise funds by membership. Donations are $15.00 a year per family and come with special programs and newsletters. You can pick up an enrollment card at the circulation desk at Brown or see one of our volunteers at a Friends program. BE A FRIEND!
