| Introduction | A native of Colombia, Land of Flowers, and most biodiverse country in the world by square metre, I fell in love with gardening when I was a little girl working with my beloved mum in our garden in Cali. I am a Landscape-Horticulture Technician from the Pacific Horticulture College and winner of the Jill Stewart Bowen Scholarship. Starting in 2001, I volunteered for seven years at Memorial University's Botanical Garden in St. John's, Newfoundland, and when I moved to Victoria at Glendale Gardens, Outerbridge Park, and Queenswood. I have also done volunteer work at the Victoria Sailing Foundation and volunteer gardening for seniors and people with disabilities. I am an animal lover, respectful of nature and passionate about protecting the environment. Other areas of my education are Interior Design, Business Administration and Marketing. I am a member of the Victoria Horticultural Society and Victoria Flower Arrangers's Guild. |
