| Introduction | I've enjoyed painting all my life, but did not have much opportunity while working full-time as a Government biologist. My big retirement day came in April of 2008, and I was able to immerse myself in artistic pursuits since then. I currently work in acrylic and watercolor, with some recent dabbling in oils. I love painting people and animals, and am currently working on a series of cow portraits. I love trying to play with color, light and shadow in an attempt to portray movement in my paintings, and hopefully also capture the personality of my subjects. I've discovered that the more I do and the more artists I interact with the more I learn and the more fun I have. I love my art! |
