| Introduction | Holder of a PhD in Education (Reading/Oxford) with a specialization in Cognitive Psychology/Applied Linguistics; an MA in TEFL (Reading) and one in English Literature (Bari), a PGCE in Modern Languages and Physical Education (Hull) as well as a first degree in English and French Lit ( Bari). Currently Head of French at an international school in Kuala Lumpur. I have been teaching MFLs for around 20 years, in Italy, UK and Malaysia in Secondary Schools (Italy and UK), universities (UK) and Further Education Institutions (Italy and UK). I have been involved in a number of Learner Training empirical studies at tertiary and secondary educational institutions. On one such projects I worked with the most prominent Learner Training researcher, Professor Ernesto Macaro of Oxford University, who was also my Ph.D supervisor. |
