Introduction	I'm a mom of two just trying to keep things moving ever forward. This blog will chronicle my experience of birthing and raising a perfect daughter who has a rare genetic abnormality, Trisomy 9p syndrome. It's important to note that every individual with this genetic abnormality experiences it differently- I'm learning that while we can try to predict my Sproglet's symptoms all day long, the reality is that we just won't know anything until she starts displaying something specific. It's maddening for me, as a mom who hates surprises! The most important thing I'm learning, now that I'm on this really weird path, is that none of this overrides the incredible awesomeness that my little girl personifies. If you're a parent of a child with a similar Trisomy 9, I'd recommend that you try to connect with other parents on various Facebook groups- they are an invaluable resource for support in the face of an unpredictable syndrome.
