| Introduction | I am a Bhutanese national. I studied electrical engineering under Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India scholarship. I completed my engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India in 1983. I worked with the erstwhile Department of Power from April 1984 until 2001 and then I was on deputation/ secondment to Bhutan Power Corporation Limited from inception July 2001 until June 2008. While at BPC, I was GM, Development & Construction Department, then I was promoted to Executive Director and was incharge of Transmission Department and that of HRAD as additional responsibility for about five months (2007/2008). From July 2008 until August 3, 2009, I was the CEO of Bhutan Electricity Authority. Then I was transferred to the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the first week of August 2009 without citing any specific reasons. I completed MBA (HRM) 2012 from Pondicherry University.
