| Introduction | I wrote programs for systems of many different kinds, ranging from embedded 8-bit controllers to distributed applications for enterprise-wide deployment. In the last decade I concentrated on designing programmable platforms for capturing application logic in a way that is independent of the hardware and the operating system where the target application is executed.
