Introduction Mary Ann Tobin, Ph.D. began teaching English Composition, Literature and Business Writing in 1994 as a Teaching Fellow at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN where she earned her Master's Degree in English Literature. She then taught for Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she earned her Doctoral Degree in 2006, and for the Community College of Allegheny County in West Mifflin, PA. She also taught for DeVry University Online. From Fall 2007 through Spring 2010, she was an adjunct instructor in Triton College's English Department, for whom she taught RHT101, RHT102 and ENG103 in traditional and online classrooms. She also served as the Faculty in Residence in Triton's Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) during the 2009 - 2010 academic year, where she facilitated and organized Teaching Circles, lectures and workshops to introduce faculty and instructional staff to new classroom techniques. Now, as Director of Teaching and Learning, Dr. Tobin directs the CTE and serves as a resource member on various campus committees.
