Occupation | Healing doll artist and writer |
Location | Washington, D.C. , United States |
Introduction | Trained at NYU as an art therapist, art and healing has always been a part of my life. Recently, I have been studying Medicine Dolls with Barb Kobe and am in the process of completing my own series of healing dolls from Guardian, to Scapegoat, to Talisman to Healer. I believe that art heals, not only our psyche but also our bodies. I am using this blog to document my July challenge to create a doll head a day. My goal is to transform ten of these into tiny healing dolls representing the joy that is our birthright. Some may also represent gremlins that get in the way of joy. And as one of the dolls suggested to me yesterday, I may use them to make other things. In the works is a way for you to contact me if you are interested in a commissioned healing doll for a particular area that you would like support for in your life. Thanks for visiting. |

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
Not at all. I am always aware of my toes. But I was so ready to stick them in the wet sand!
