| Introduction | I was diagnosed with oral cancer on January 20, 2009. At first I was told it was Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Later my diagnosis was changed to Polymorphous Low Grade Adenocarcinoma. However, my cancer has, from the beginning, had the characteristics of ACC not those of PLGA. I have been offered the opportunity to have it retested but I have chosen to leave it alone. My future remains in the hands of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ regardless of the title given to my cancer. With the help of my husband and daughter, I have tried to record my cancer journey here in the hope of being a help to others who find themselves facing this same scary diagnosis. I have included some pretty graphic and very unflattering pictures from the original cancer to where I am today. I also want to share how the Lord has helped and guided my family and I, as we have walked this path. The Lord has blessed me with the best husband and children a woman could ever hope for. |
