| Introduction | Vida Morkunas grew up in Montreal and obtained a baccalaureate in music (piano) before earning a Bachelor of Arts followed by graduate studies in Computer Science at McGill, and an MBA at Simon Fraser University. She is an enthusiastic runner, kayaker and hiker who documents her adventures using professional digital cameras. Her work was shown at Exposure Gallery in Vancouver, and at the Yaletown Gallery. Her images appeared in CBC’s Zed and Radio3 – and was featured in a seven-minute segment on Radio Canada. Many of Vida’s outdoors wilderness images are licensed to the Washington State Tourism web site and to Getty. Vida published a beautiful book of photographs called Images of Wilderness. Vida currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. |
