| Introduction | I graduated from the University of Iowa in May of 2012. I received an honors BA degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as a BA in Health and Sports Studies. I am now working as the weekend sports anchor/sports reporter at KAAL-TV in Austin, MN. My primary responsibilities are editing, writing, producing, and anchoring every Saturday and Sunday, as well as acting as a reporter during the other days of the week. I do everything myself, such as conducting interviews, shooting, writing ,editing, and on-camera work. We cover pretty much everything, but focus quite a bit on high school football and junior hockey. In college, I held the position of sports director at the Daily Iowan TV station at Iowa during my junior year. I worked as a sports reporter for them all four years of college, covering all Hawkeye sports, but primarily football. I have held two different sports broadcast internships in the summer, one for KARE-11 in Minneapolis in 2010 and another for MLB Network in Secaucus, NJ, in 2011. I also had an internship with KGAN in Cedar Rapids during my last semester at Iowa. |
