Introduction	I'm the oldest of eleven children and the mother of four, so I've been playing all my life. I recently completed a PhD in paleoentomology (fossil insects), and now I'm a stay-at-home mom. I think I'm a scientist, because I never lost my childhood curiosity and sense of wonder about the world. I spend my days playing with my daughters, and I believe that good toys help develop both imagination and intelligence. We love being creative and because we live in a chilly climate, we use our imagination to go places and make staying indoors fun.
