Introduction | I am a Sister of the Blessed Sacrament, founded by St. Katharine Drexel. While her goal was to bring about unity and community among all peoples, she had a special concern for Native Americans, African Americans, and other oppressed peoples. I have enjoyed a variety of ministries: teaching at elementary through university levels, serving as campus minister in several situations, coordinating of faith formation on Indian missions, and providing adult spirituality programs at St. Katharine Drexel Mission Center. The vocation of Christians is to become more and more like Jesus. There are several paths or lifestyles: single, married, religious community, priesthood. Each has its own joys and challenges. I am happy that God called me to become a religious sister. My life has been greatly enriched by the people with whom I have journeyed. |
