Introduction	In 2002 I lost my mother to non-smoking related lung cancer. I was 20 and her death shook my world. I would have crumbled to pieces if it hadn't been for my boyfriend, now husband, Jason. He held me up during the worst time in my life. Two years later Jason and I married and enjoyed life as newlyweds. In 2008 we found out we were expecting our first bundle of joy Jake who was born January 2009. Jake is a perfect energetic, little boy who hates to sleep, loves to be the center of attention, and always keeps us on our toes. When Jake was 8 months old we found out we were expecting our second bundle of joy Kennedy who was born June 2010. Kennedy is a quiet, peaceful, and happy little girl who likes to sleep. I left my career as a hairstylist to stay at home when Jake was born. I love my life as a stay at home mom, but motherhood has brought back some pretty raw feelings when it comes to missing my mother and wishing she was here. While I'm so lucky to have my husband who is my best friend and a wonderful father I long to be able to call my mother for advice and support. Join me on my journey of motherhood and trying to do it without the support of my own mother.
