| Introduction | I am a semi-retired Civil Engineer by training but now work as a substitute High School teacher. COVID-19.was a blow to the work environment but it did not slow down model building. In fact the building accelerated. Modeling came back to me when my wife bought me an Academy 600 scale Titanic in 2008. I had not built a model of any type for probably 30 years. Embers turned to a blaze and in 2010 I bought the Minicraft 350 scale Titanic. I learned a lot with that one. My wife Dayle is an avid stitcher and crafter, but our other best hobby is our granddaughter Hayley June Taylor, the 2022 Little Miss Antioch (Illinois). |
| Interests | Modeling ships and aircraft, movies, my wife, daughter and granddaughter, the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks, the Titanic. Watching favorite TV series with my wife, particularly those of historical time periods. |
| Favorite movies | Oooo, there are so many. I have a list of movies one needs to see before they die! Favorites are those that can be watched no matter what part you join in at: Jaws, The Godfather, 1970’ and 80’s Clint Eastwood westerns, James Bond, particularly Connery and Craig, Hombre, Caddyshack, Stripes, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Quigley Down Under, Hunt For Red October. All Errol Flynn swashbucklers, The Hustler, Casablanca - - the list goes on. |
| Favorite music | I grew up on late 60’s and 70’s Rock and Roll. Favorite vinyl is CSN, Who’ Next, Best of Cream. I love the Beatles, Beach Boys and Buffett, along with Led Zeppelin and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Buble’ is a guilty pleasure as is Pit Bull, Lady GaGa and Bruno Mars. |
