| Introduction | I've worked in the cultural heritage (museums, libraries, and archives) field for 10+ years, and find that the opportunity to do the cataloging and collections work that initially drew me to the field to be waning. So I'm reinventing myself with skills that I believe will travel, while, of course, keeping up with my "extracurriculars." I still love my original fields--anthropology, museums, libraries, archives--and they will probably still show up a lot here, but I find that I'm going to have to take a different path, professionally. | Favorite Books | Too hard to say. My (semi)guilty-pleasure is the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series. Serious titles? No Telephone to Heaven, House on Mango Street, Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, The Shipping News, To Kill a Mockingbird, the autobiographies of Eleanor Roosevelt and Madeleine Albright, and more. |
