| Introduction | Until the end of 2013, I was a part-time researcher at the University of Lancaster in the UK, undertaking a PhD in eResearch and Technology Enhanced Learning. I am otherwise working for the European Commission (at the Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture) where I am currently the Interim Director as well as being the Head of Department for the Lifelong Learning Programme.
