Introduction	My name is Melissa Edwards and I'm a recent graduate of Tennessee Tech University and commissioned as a 2LT May 9, 2014. I created this blog to gather insight from women considered to be a minority in their military profession and discuss the obstacles they overcome to be successful. But it isn't limited to just minority women--I'd love to hear from everyone! I received active duty AG and my next stop for BOLC will be at Ft. Jackson, SC. I hope to eventually transfer into Public Affairs. I want to share my experiences as a minority female as I start my military career and hopefully encourage others to share their story so we can gather insight from one another.
