Introduction Colleen Harrison is a freelance documentary photojournalist. Originally from Cleveland, she explores new locations; capturing portraits, video, and sounds that make a place and its people unique. Colleen graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in September 2011 with her bachelor's degree in photography. Many of her photos were selected to hang in the school's annual student art show each year she attended the institute. In 2008, Colleen completed a high school senior project at the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper, where she learned that documenting the daily lives of various people and places through multiple mediums was something she wanted to pursue. As of June 2012, Colleen is a photojournalist intern for the news website MLive.com, and for the Saginaw News and Bay City Times newspapers in Michigan. She's had multiple photos picked up by the Associated Press, and has received awards from both the Michigan Press Photographers Association and the Michigan Associated Press. Colleen lives in a tiny apartment that she shares with her dog and her cat, and is available for work anywhere.
