| Introduction | I’m an artist, an author but most of all, I’m a teacher who loves to inspire my students to stretch creatively. I enjoy hours in the studio playing with fabric and threads but also painting and printing my own fabrics. I’m the author of Fabric Printing at Home (2014), a book that focuses on using household materials to create print blocks, stencils, and fabric resists. I’ve been a featured artist in 3 Quilting Arts TV series and continue to write articles for Quilting Arts magazine on hand stitching and surface design projects. In 2020, I moved my teaching online. I teach workshops and classes in hand stitching as an expressive art medium as well as how to create beautiful, hand stitched art objects. In 2020 and 2022, I had the wonderful opportunity to teach lessons in hand stitching techniques for TextileArtist.com’s Stitch Club, a community of 60,000 stitchers. |
