Introduction	Dancing has always played a significant role in Kailena’s life. Everywhere she has lived, she indulged herself in many types and forms of dance. After moving to Ottawa in September of 2005, she was hired to teach a few dance classes around the city. Now, four years later, Kailena teaches as many as 30 classes a week to over 300 students at several locations. She is also invited to teach at daycares and after school programs during the school year, and has incorporated hip hop at lunch in a couple of elementary schools. Since 2007, Kailena has been offering private and semi-private dance lessons at her home, specializing in one-on-one lessons in ballet, jazz and hip hop for children and youth. In the past year, Kailena has travelled to Toronto to participate in prestigious dance conferences (Coastal Dance Rage in October 2008 and 2009 and The Pulse on Tour in March 2009) where she had the opportunity to be taught by many well known choreographers (Mia Michaels, Wade Robinson, Cris Judd, Blake McGrath, Kenny G, Bobby Newberry, Benji Schwimmer to name a few). She is constantly thriving to create fresh and new choreography for all her classes.
