| Introduction | Hello, I am a 34 year old Christian woman, and I am an Aspie. For those not in the know, that means I have Asperger's disorder, which is on the upper end of the Autism Spectrum. Until a few months ago I thought that I was a smart girl who just had a few social issues...but then my mother attended a training in Autism and discovered that indeed my social issues were Asperger's. I am on the high end of the scale and function quite well normally, but life is not without its difficulties. And that is what this blog is going to be about. I love my family, my friends, and my boyfriend, all of whom support and encourage me in delving into the realities of being an Aspie AND don't let me make it an excuse to stop being my best. I love all animals, especially my four cats, I have a passionate love of reading and learning, I believe we all have the potential to be whatever we want to be. And my faith in God is the core of my being and the reason I exist. Glory be to God forever and ever, Amen. |
