Introduction | I'm the co-author of Joanne King Herring's memoir, Diplomacy and Diamonds (Hachette/Center Street). She's the woman Julia Roberts portrayed in the movie "Charlie Wilson's War." After 18 years with Southern Living and Progressive Farmer magazine, I now freelance write and edit for print, web, and public relations clients. My husband, Mark Hickson, and I are currently collaborating on a book about communication. We have twin teenagers, daughter Brennan and son Josh. Our family lives in the Birmingham suburb of Hoover, Alabama, with our Maine coon cat, Rocky. |
