Introduction Catherine Garcia, holds a JD and BA in Political Science and LLM in International Human Rights Law. In her current position she is a second-year doctoral researcher at Erasmus University School of Law, The Netherlands. Within the framework of the ‘Behavioural Approaches to Contract and Tort: Relevance for Policymaking’ research programme, her thesis concerns ‘Transparency, accessibility and simplicity of consumer credit information’. In previous postings, she assessed international legislation, regulation and practices of financial consumer protection and financial capability, and researched on international good practices in the same field. Her scholarship and advocacy is in the field of predatory financial consumer protection, financial education and financial inclusion. Her articles and posts are written from the cognitive psychology, behavioural law and policy perspective to contract and consumer law.
