| Introduction | For starters, I usually go by Cat. I am a Christian Scientist and of the attributes relating to spirituality and to Life, I value Love the highest. Through Love, absolutely anything is possible. I often feel most spiritual when surrounded by nature. I am a Junior at Principia College studying Biology with a Minor in Music. After my thru-hike of the AT, I plan on returning to school in Fall 2012. I grew up in a little town in New Hampshire with an amazing Music Department that meant (and still means) the world to me. Nature has always been a major love in my life. Growing up my family camped a ton, and starting in 2003, we started what became semi-annual "Waterfall Hunting" trips. Using a handy guidebook of New England Waterfalls, we'd pick a different state each year to venture off to and search out the elusive wonders. In addition to the family time in the woods, summer camp also had a large impact on my appreciation of nature. Through various programs, I participated in canoe trips of increasing length, finishing with a 6 woman, 14 day trip in La Vérendrye Wilderness Reserve in Québec. So yeah...nature's my thing. |
