| Introduction | I am a homeschooling mom, something I never saw myself saying just a mere 4 years ago. But I am, I love it (most days) and I embrace the belief that the government has no right to interfere in the way we choose to educate our children---at least until they can guarantee that every child their schools produce will grow up to be well-rounded, productive members of society filled with the wisdom of the ages, and self-supporting! My degree is in Exercise Science, but my love is art. Becoming a homeschooling mom has opened up the opportunity for me to begin teaching art on the middle school level. I am currently teaching 5 art classes a week, one as a volunteer at my homeschool group's co-op, they others are paid classes I teach in both my home & others homes. I am looking forward to returning to school in the next year to pursue a fine art certificate at the Glassel School of Art, which is attached to the Houston Museum of Fine Art. I have been married to a great man & wonderful provider for 21 years; we have two beautiful, talented daughters, whom I'm often in awe of. |
