| Introduction | My first trip abroad was 6 weeks in Singapore when I was 20. My advice to you is to spend your 21st Birthday with friends. I spent it in a 12 x 16 room in a foreign country with another person I was paired to live with. We took someone's advice and went to a place that was meant to be amazing for celebrating a birthday. Instead of it being a night to remember, all I remember was being home well before midnight. That was my first experience being let down by someones recommendation and certainly not the last. After living in 5 different countries and years of constant traveling my experiences, not always good ones, and discriminating tastes make travel simplified. |
